The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Health, administers the Czech Government Scholarships under its foreign development cooperation framework. Eligibility Criteria
- Citizens of the eligible developing countries listed above
- Must be at least 18 years old as of Sept 1 prior to study year
- Bachelor’s degree required for Master’s applicants; Master’s degree required for doctoral applicants in English-taught program
- Academic performance should meet university requirements
- English proficiency required for English-taught tracks (online test as part of application)
- Applicants applying for Czech-language courses may require preliminary language testing.

Application Process
- Submit the online application form via the designated portal (e.g., registr.dzs.cz) by 30 September 2025
- Complete the general knowledge test and, if applying for English‑taught program, the English language test (online during registration)
- Shortlisted candidates invited to an interview by local Embassy or authorized nominating body
- Submit two hard-copy sets of required documents (CV, diplomas, transcripts, health certificate, declarations, letters, etc.) to Embassy or Czech MFA support office by late December prior to academic year
- Final scholarship decisions announced in May–June before the academic year begins. Studies typically begin the following autumn.
