Chevening India Cyber Security Fellowship

Citizens of India currently resident in India
Program Overview!
Looking to level up India’s cyber policy and practice with a short, high-impact UK fellowship? The Chevening India Cyber Security Fellowship (hosted at Cranfield University, Defence Academy) is a fully-funded, ten-week professional program for mid-career Indian practitioners. Three reasons to apply: (1) it teaches policy, legislative and national-security dimensions of cyber-security relevant to India and the UK; (2) it’s fully funded (fees, living allowance and economy return airfare from India covered); and (3) it brings you face-to-face with UK experts and a peer cohort of senior practitioners — ideal for lawyers, policymakers, law-enforcement, corporate security leads and journalists working on cyber issues.
Chevening is the UK government’s global awards program (funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office) that runs scholarships and targeted short fellowships to build leadership and professional networks worldwide. Chevening partners with UK universities and institutions to design short, high-impact fellowships (like this cyber security program) that combine expert teaching, policy exposure, and cohort learning. For application steps and official guidance, Chevening’s site and application portal are the authoritative sources.
This 10-week Chevening fellowship gives experienced Indian professionals a focused understanding of policy and legislative approaches to cyber security — covering threats and risk assessment, protection of critical infrastructure, cyber-crime and internet law, economic/consumer aspects of online business, and UK-India comparative issues. Fellows produce an individual research paper and participate in workshops and discussions with UK experts. The program is aimed at mid-career practitioners who already influence cyber-policy, law enforcement, corporate security, or journalism in India.
