Program Overview!
Looking for a scholarship that supports women and under-represented students entering technical and professional degrees? The Legrand Empowering Scholarship Program 2025–26 provides strong financial support (up to ₹1,00,000/year for special-category students) plus mentorship, helpline support, and a community of past scholars. It’s valuable because: (1) it reduces annual course costs substantially for eligible students, (2) it pairs scholarship support with a structured mentorship program and Scholar Connect events, and (3) it’s targeted at girls and special-category students (differently-abled, LGBTQ+, COVID-affected, single-parent/orphan) across India.
Legrand is a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructure with presence in many countries. Group Legrand India runs the Legrand Empowering Scholarship as a CSR initiative to promote access to higher education for meritorious girls and under-represented groups in STEM, architecture, finance and science. The India program combines financial support with mentorship and helpline services and has supported over 500 students to date.
The Legrand Empowering Scholarship Program targets students who have secured admission to eligible undergraduate programs (B.Tech/B.E./B.Arch./B.Sc./B.Com./B.B.A.). It operates in two categories — General (merit + means for girl students) and Special (differently-abled girls, LGBTQ+, COVID-affected, single-parent/orphan students) — offering significant yearly fee support plus access to a four-month mentorship program, Scholar Connect events, and helpline support. Award size is performance-linked and renewable through the course (subject to terms).
