Program Overview!
Are you an experienced scholar or practitioner working on education for sustainable peace in post-conflict or transitional settings? The Georg Arnhold Senior Fellowship (GEI) offers a focused research residency in Brunswick, Germany — ideal for those who want protected time to convert research into policy briefs, curriculum materials, or publications. Three reasons to apply: (1) generous financial support including €3,300/month + return airfare, (2) a six-month in-residence placement with editorial & admin support, and (3) exceptional visibility through GEI’s network and an opportunity to shape the programme’s annual conference.
The Leibniz Institute for Educational Media | Georg Eckert Institute (GEI) in Brunswick is a research institute focused on educational media, curriculum studies and knowledge transfer. GEI connects scholarship and practice and supports projects that translate research into usable educational materials and policy recommendations. The Georg Arnhold Program at GEI funds fellowships that bring experienced researchers and practitioners to the institute to work on projects that strengthen education for sustainable peace and build civil-society capacity.
The Georg Arnhold Senior Fellowship supports outstanding researchers or high-level practitioners working on education for sustainable peace — with a preference for projects addressing educational media and secondary-school curricula in post-conflict or transitional societies. Fellows are hosted in-residence at GEI to develop outputs such as policy papers, educational resources, research articles or a larger publication; they also help design the programme’s annual conference and present at GEI’s colloquium.
