The CREATE-GreenAfrica project is supported by the European Union under its Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme. It brings together six African partner institutions and one European technical partner, the University of Southern Denmark. The consortium is led by the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, with partner universities in Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Ghana, and Nigeria. The project aims to enhance climate-related skills and knowledge across the African continent through mobility, experience sharing, and research in various climate and environmental fields.

The CREATE-GreenAfrica Scholarship is designed to provide opportunities for African students to engage in advanced research in climate change adaptation, mitigation, and related fields. The scholarship covers various academic programs, including full-time and short-term PhD and M.Sc. positions across the partner universities. It offers financial support for tuition fees, research costs, travel, insurance, and subsistence, promoting academic mobility across Africa.

📝 Application Process:
- Prepare Your Application:
- Download and fill out the scholarship application form available on the project website.
- Gather all necessary documents, including transcripts, certificates, proof of admission (if applicable), and a filled-out application form.
- Submit Your Application:
- Send your completed application and documents to the project coordinating office via email at ira@udsm.ac.tz.
- Apply to Host Universities:
- In addition to the scholarship application, apply for admission to the relevant program at the host university. Each host university has specific application procedures. Admission letters may be required, depending on the university.
- Ensure to follow specific guidelines for each university listed on the CREATE-GreenAfrica website.
- Selection Process:
- Applications will be reviewed by the coordinating institution and shortlisted by the host universities.
- The CREATE-GreenAfrica selection committee will select the final scholarship recipients.
- Successful candidates will be notified, and contracts will be signed between the scholarship beneficiaries and CREATE-GreenAfrica.
- After Acceptance:
- The host university will facilitate travel, settling in, and assign an academic mentor.
- Awarded students will need to initially bear the cost of their air ticket but will be reimbursed after arrival at the host university.
